What's not to like?

Everything.

This post from Andrew Sullivan sums up all you ever needed to know about our president and the how absurd it sounds when people who pass for conservatives these days defend him.

"If Bush is willing to take responsibility for toppling Saddam - and to dress up in military uniform and land on an aircraft carrier for good measure - then he must take full responsibility for torture and for the appalling treatment of injured vets at home. He cannot have it both ways. Either he is commander-in-chief or he isn't."

I think it's very easy to find things about George Bush that you may disagree with. For instance, it's very easy to disagree with the war in Iraq. You may have thought it was a bad idea to begin with and you certainly don't like the idea of continuing it further. You probably also disagree with the president's stance on social issues like abortion, gay marriage, stem cell research, education, etc. You probably even hate the lengths to which he goes to placate the Christian Right. But let me tell you, there's so much more to it than that. He's managed to also abuse the Constitution by over-stepping his influence on the Justice Department. The result is legalized torture and the appointment/dismissal of US attorneys simply to promote a political agenda.

But it's so much more than even that. It's the fact that he's so callous that he doesn't even care and is so unwavering in his belief that he's right. Even when he does admit something has gone wrong, he lets other people take the blame (see Abu Ghraib and the Scoot Libby case). On top of that he's not a deep thinker, surrounds himself with "yes men" and therefore hasn't seriously contemplated a dissenting opinion the entire time he's been in office. And this guy is the president of our country? It's so bad, this is now unsurprising.
