This is what inspires me to post again, apparently...

Rarely do I ever get so incensed that I need to write a nasty letter to those responsible for my anger, but it happened this week.

By now, anyone with a computer seen The View clip from Tuesday where new host, Sherri Shephard acknowledges that she didn't know whether the Earth was round, and quite frankly, admitted that she hadn't even given it any thought. Below...

I guess she's just been so busy her entire life that she hasn't looked at a globe or a book, nor had a single curious thought about the mass of land on which she was standing.

Two things here. First of all, I guess the one thing that sets me off is the promotion of sheer ignorance. But this is the worst kind. It's willful and proud ignorance.

But it's even worse than that. Not only is she boastfully proclaiming her ignorance of science, but she is also fostering this highly negative and dangerous stereotype that women are incurious and blissfully uninterested in science. How could any young women watching that be inspired to become a cosmologist, or biochemist, or genetic engineer?

Anyway, I basically told ABC that she should be fired immediately.

I can just hear Chris Rock saying, "I take care of my kids!"
