It's not that hard to figure out.

If ever there was reason not to vote for John McCain, here it is. Judging by his response to the Supreme Court ruling that prisoners at Guantanamo Bay have the right to a trial by jury, this is a human being who apparently is incapable of interpreting the law and understanding human decency. It really takes no more education beyond a fifth grade civics class to understand that it makes perfect sense to grant the right to a trial by jury to anyone under arrest. You know, the opportunity to prove one's innocence lest authorities are arresting innocent people. And contrary to what Newt Gingrich thinks, this is not a carte blanche to let captured terrorists go free. All that happens, is that people we have caught and are holding captive (and torturing), have the right to a trial. After trial, those who are deemed to pose a threat to our national security go back to prison, while those who pose no threat get set free. If this sounds unreasonable to anyone, may I accuse them of being un-American?

If we can't defend the simple principals on which this country was founded, then the American people are the victims in the war on terror. Again, it requires no brain gymnastics to figure this out.

Oh, and speaking of Guantanamo Bay...Best...Movie...Ever!

Disco Tunnel at Detroit Airport

I went through the Detroit Airport on Saturday (which is way cooler than the Toledo Express Airport where nothing is open on a Saturday afternoon), and got to experience the famed "disco tunnel". Cool, freaky stuff.
